    To date we have successfully completed both 'Proof of Concept' and 'Proof of Process' phases. Meridian and Mercury together with MB Century and Electrix have signed up to test the product out. Once the full costs and effort are known a wider roll out of the competency tool will be implemented.

    The group has finalised the training and project plan for delivery of the EAC e-Learning module. This will cover Our Industry, Our Legal Obligation, Our Common Critical Industry Risks, Our Expectation Before Arriving at Site and Our Expectation Onsite. Next step during August and early September is to draft storyboards to allow us to review the scripts and storyboards to ensure consistency and clarity.

    The group are due to publish a summary of the work to date on the fatigue, impairment and stress risk assessment identifying critical controls along with lead indicators that could be used to monitor these risk factors. The group have collated data with respect to workforce age in the sector.

    The Industry Critical Risk document is now complete. This will be published by end of October 2018. The document provides the StayLive participants common critical risks, exposure, critical controls and critical questions. This will be invaluable for work teams, auditors or leadership as part of pre-task meetings, assurance or governance activities in ensuring critical risks are being managed to a level deemed best practice by the industry.

Latest Updates of Guidelines

Work Control Procedures

Consensus from the working group was that the WCP did not require any further updates in 2018 and that time should be given to embed the procedures within the member organisations. Meridian have developed an on-line training tool and this will be shared with the group when they next meet in October 2018.
