Working groups have been formed to develop solutions to industry-wide health and safety issues. The working groups in progress are noted below. Once a working group has completed their task the outcomes from the group are published as guidelines.
StayLive PPE Workstream 2015

Terms of reference: To determine if it was possible to achieve a standard approach to PPE across the electricity generation sector
Findings:
There were two types of approaches taken by members of the Stay Live group of companies with respect to determining PPE requirements:
- Establishment of compulsory minimum requirements for PPE across all activities with additional PPE determined by risk assessment.
- PPE requirements determined solely on the basis of risk assessment.
Where risk assessment was the methodology most companies had established matrices defining required PPE for specific tasks or work areas.
Due to the variety of operations, conditions and approaches there was no value in trying to establish a common PPE approach.
There was value, however, in sharing information regarding new innovations in PPE solutions.
