Screen Cleaner Install - Injury

Description:
A new screen cleaner and intake screens were being installed at the intake forebay on the canal. The work was being carried out by contractors with support from site staff. While assembling the new rake onto the screen cleaner, it was identified that the rake had been installed the wrong way around. During manual correction of the rake’s orientation, a staff member’s finger became caught under the chain, resulting in a fracture to the fingertip.
