Working Groups

Working groups have been formed to develop solutions to industry-wide health and safety issues. The working groups in progress are noted below. Once a working group has completed their task the outcomes from the group are published as guidelines.

The StayLive Work Control Procedures (WCP'S) are changing, and you have the opportunity to influence the outcome. Whilst the principles remain the same - the four new guidance documents:

  • Consolidate the WCP's and Generation Procedure Group documents (GPG's)
  • Provide dedicated document to guide each work management process
  • Are structured to aid understanding for those new to the industry through to experienced campaigners
  • Once published will be freely available on industry common platforms including the StayLive website

Call to Action: We need you to review and provide feedback by the 14th of April.

Why Change?

  • The Work Control Procedures (WCP's) currently work in tandem with the Generation Procedure Group Documents (GPG's), but are not fully integrated.
  • The existing documents are not structured well to support development of future workforce capability
  • Cross referencing and complex statements hinder understanding and applcation

What are the changes?

  • We bring the WCP's and GPG's together
  • There is a single knowledge source for each works management process - general work, work authority, access permit and test permit
  • The information is presented in a more logical way to aid understanding and application

How do I provide feedback?

  • Use the links below to review the presentation and the 4 WCP documents
    • Use the link to the feedback form (save to your system).
    • Submit the feedback by emailing the form to Steve Leppien by Friday, 14 April

What will happen next?

  • The WCP Group will review the feedback and make any necessary changes
  • The final documents to be published May 2023
  • Any superceded WCP/GPG documents will be withdrawn
  • The WCP Group will continue to review the balance of the GPG's
